Charles Schwab deployed Chromebooks to power a new service called Schwab Intelligent Portfolios. The service, which uses sophisticated computer algorithms to help clients invest smarter was launched in hundreds of branches nationwide.
To enhance customer experiences, the company required a computing solution that comes with an intuitive interface. This was aimed at providing a platform for educating clients on the benefits of the new service and enabling easy sign-up. IT decision makers at Charles Schwab selected Chromebooks after testing a number of tablets and laptop devices.
The Chrome devices were a good fit thanks to their robust security, flexibility, reliability, easy deployment and simplified device management. More than 1,000 Chromebooks were deployed in less than two months with the help of an approved Google reseller. Charles Schwab opted for the public session mode to allow multiple clients to use the same device securely, without signing in. Netflix delivers great customer service using Chrome devices
With over 65 million customers, Netflix understands the need for efficient call centers. The company relies on cloud-based systems to power its growing customer service center in Salt Lake City. Video streaming customers often contact support services to seek assistance on how to troubleshoot issues or require more information about monthly plans.
With the deployment of Chromebooks and Chromeboxes, Netflix is now able to focus on helping customers than spending too much time managing devices and software from different vendors. As a result, the company says it has managed to discard the traditional call center model. It is planning to add new reps, something that was being impeded by legacy systems.
Legacy hardware lacked the flexibility needed to keep call centers running smoothly. Previously, Netflix had to reconfigure devices when bringing in new workstations. This meant keeping a standby row of workstations to prepare for any system malfunctions. Hence, the call center floor was always filled with extra hardware than required on a day-to-day basis. Chapters Health System streamlines workflow using Chromebooks
Chapters Health System is making the most of Chromebook's reliability and simplicity to help caregivers focus on caring for patients. The organization provides palliative, hospice and post-acute care to patients. It virtualized business and clinical software applications to support its mobile nurses and caregivers.
The employees are given access to the apps via Citrix's XenApp. In addition, the organization replaced legacy hardware with Chromebooks. Traditional computing devices were bulky and caused boot-up delays. New machines required time-consuming configuration. This was slowing down and frustrating caregivers.
Chapters Health System selected Chromebooks after giving its staff an opportunity to evaluate various product options, including an Apple iPad, an HP Chromebook 14 for Business and a traditional Windows notebook.
