Chromebook buying season has arrived.   The K-12 education market has dictated this buying season for at least a couple of years.  Now, with 2017 Chromebook models running Android Apps, it's the perfect time to find deals on bulk chromebook purchases.   Here are some tips and tricks from our Apps Admins to help save you money.

• Try a New PC Vendor.   We can negotiate a better price on Chrome device bulk purchases if you're open to trying a new PC brand.   For example, if you're a big Dell shop for Windows PCs (big personal fan of the Dell Optiplex series), consider adding Lenovo Chromebooks to the mix.     We may be able to offer you a "new customer discount" when you buy Chromebooks from IT Channel partners like Lenovo, HP and Dell.
  
  

• Join or Form a Chrome Device Buyer Group.  We can bundle chromebook purchases for multiple schools or businesses in the same region, which improves your buying power.   The catch?  One place of delivery for all of the same units.

• Ask for a Discount on Chrome Device Management Licenses.    Doesn't hurt to ask, does it?  If you've assigned a partner of record they can usually also sell you chrome management licenses.   Most partners we work will provide discounts to schools.    G Suite Apps Admins can also get discounts on Chrome device management licenses through our Apps Admin Shop.   Request a discount code here.
  
  

• Offer the Same Model Chrome Device for Personal Purchase.   Put a deadline for employees or students to order a Chromebook or device personally.  It's a win-win benefit for everyone. You can add these units to your final order - It could bring your cost down plus students can share in some of the discount and IT is only servicing the same model.  
  
  

• Wait.   If your order is under 50 units, you could wait it out until the last week.  Chrome devices set up in a few minutes with Chrome Device Management.    Back in my day as a Tech Director I'd sweat it out until the last week in August, the absolute last day to get an order in before end of month.  If any of the component manufacturers have price drops in July you'll also gain these savings.

Lifetime Value of Buying Chromebooks with Touchscreens.
